TFG's TAKE: Wrapup
It has been exactly one year since I attended my first CPL, which was Winter 2004. There is such an entrepreneurial spirit in the air with so many team mangers and companies having big hopes and high expectations. The main focus is, of course, who wins and who loses. However, there are several other important things going on which I should mention:
Firstly, the business environment of eSports has grown leaps and bounds. Jason Lake himself was involved in more “meetings” than I have ever seen before. There are server companies, anti-cheat companies, mousepad companies, headset companies, casting companies – hell, there was even a “caffeinated chewing gum” company trying to promote their product.
